<div><p>I wanted to make you aware of an incident that occurred this morning involving Domonic. He was involved in an altercation with another student during basketball, which reportedly began over a foul call.</p><p>Following the incident, Domonic stated that he did not throw any punches and that he attempted to walk away from the situation. After reviewing camera footage, I called Domonic to my office to discuss what was observed. The video appears to show the other student initially taking a step away before being pushed by Domonic. The two students then engaged in mutual pushing before punches were thrown, and the footage shows Domonic squaring up toward the other student during the altercation.</p><p>Even after reviewing the footage with him, Domonic continued to maintain his original account, stating, “I do not care what the video shows, I know what I remember.”</p><p>At that point, I advised Domonic that he could return to school. He refused to attend school, and I informed him that while he has free will and can make his own choices, those choices can carry consequences. I explained that refusing school would result in an additional major consequence and that he would be expected to remain in his room during school hours. Domonic indicated that he did not care and stated he was going to do what he wanted.</p><p>I followed him to the school area, at which point he left and returned to the cottage. I am currently out today and tomorrow, except for emergencies, in order to complete end-of-the-month reports, so I do not currently have additional information regarding his behavior after returning to the cottage.
