Hi Alissa, After being out for the past two weeks, I am currently working through a significant amount of catch-up. I wanted to provide you with an update on Matthew and get your input on a couple of items. I spoke with Matthew’s therapist earlier regarding the current pause and the required DBT Chain Analysis related to his recent positive screen. Matthew continues to deny use and has suggested the sample may have been mixed up; however, that would not be possible, as he was the only individual screened that afternoon. Per his therapist, Matthew did not complete the DBT Chain Analysis to the required standard, stating he was unable to do so due to his denial of use. As a result, she assigned him an alternative assignment. He will remain on pause status until that assignment is completed. At this time, Matthew is eligible for a 5-hour pass this weekend (it would have been an 8-hour pass had he not lost his previous pass). Before moving forward, I wanted to confirm that you are in agreement with him having this pass. Additionally, Matthew asked that I check with you regarding permission to get a rose tattoo on his hand. Hi Alissa,I agree on the tattoo, but had to pass the request along. I did check and made sure Megan was no longer approved for visits/calls and the change had been made.
